Krista and Philip Dial’s wedding in June was a very unique and creative event! Krista took everything into her own hands and made it completely her own. From the donated wine bottle centerpieces (I loved them!!) to the boutonnière’s that she made herself and the family tree that all of the guests stamped their fingerprint on, it will be an event that not only they will remember, but one that their guests are still talking about!
Krista came to me several months before the wedding with her mother’s wedding dress that she had handmade in 1974 still wrapped in it’s original keepsake box and turned it over to me to re-create it into something new while leaving behind the memories that the dress held for her and her family. We sat and brainstormed and sketched several ideas and decided on a silhouette and fabric that we were going to add to the original dress. In the end we removed the sleeves, the high neck, the a-line shape of the skirt and created a beautiful one of a kind mermaid dress with added beaded silk duipioni and a bit of sparkle! Krista was able to bring apart of her families bridal past right into the future and of course she did it in style!

Great post! I was fortunate enough to be at this wedding and be introduced to THE stylist, who also handled my wedding dress alterations. She’s the best!
